cGPA scaling

Recommended Posts

They apply z-scores to everyone's GPA and VR.

To get the z-score they subtract the applicant pool average from your score, and then divide that by the standard deviation of the applicant pool. Once your GPA, VR and CASPer scores are standardized (by z-scores), then they can ensure that each is contributing in the exact percentage that they want.

Whether the lowest z-score gets 0% and the highest gets 15%, while the rest fill in the bell-curve, I am not entirely sure, and is left up to speculation.

Anyone else care to fill in the gaps?
