Guest kriserella
Hi, On the student review sheet as outlined by AAMA, it said "no alkenes". Are they serious?
Guest Lactic Folly
AAMC makes the MCAT, so I would go by their guides..
Guest clinicalchief
As on the AAMC website... "In the organic chemistry portion of Biological Sciences, the topics, "Oxygen Containing Compounds" and "Hydrocarbons" will be reduced by a total of three questions. Under the topics, "Hydrocarbons" and "Oxygen Containing Compounds," sub topics Alkenes, Benzene, Phenols, and Ethers will be deleted. Some questions may, however, refer to these sub topics. In such cases, relevant information on these sub topics will be provided." So there are no specific questions on alkenes, but familiarize yourself with it briefly for the "special cases".
