geekpunk
can a current Resident enter the 2nd round of CARMS? and if they match in the 2nd Round, is there any legal contract involved? As far I understand, residency contracts are renewed yearly, so if a resident matched in the 2nd round, as long as the resident's home Program would be ok releasing them, it'd be ok? I know this is already too late for this year as registration for the 2nd round has already closed but just curious if that's allowed.
moo
You can enter the 2nd round, even if you've had prior post grad training. http://carms.ca/eng/r1_eligibility_e.shtml
0nsp
What a coincidence. I was going to start this exact same thread, until I found the information on CaRMS: http://carms.ca/eng/r1_eligibility_prov_e.shtml It seems that in Quebec, you can't apply to round 2 as a resident, and other provinces may have some restrictions as well. 0nsp
Although I should add that the deadline to register for the second round was last wednesday, and the deadline to have documents submitted is tomorrow. Edit: it seems on reading your post more carefully, you already knew that.
