Im planning on writing on my own.. now If I buy the books (hyperlearning, or exam crackers) from someone else. does the edition which I buy matter? if I buy the 2008 edition for hyperlearning, will it be alright? bored
does anyone have any suggestion for this? will It be alright If I get the older versions?
thehumanmacbook
Should be fine...2010 I think are just in color with a few extra diagrams. Remember that the material on MCAT hasn't changed in a long time, and looking at my different editions for Kaplan books a lot of it stays the same. Mod, please move this thread to MCAT Prep? Clever
While the material is the same, the strategies they give in the books might not be as good as the newer versions. I heard that they're making the PS and BS more like the VR section; so it would be best to get the newest version. Of course cost is always an issue and the advantage of the new one is most likely small.

thatonekid
2008 will be fine. Just go through the official AAMC list of topics covered on the MCAT and check to make sure they're covered in the books. If a topic is missing (unlikely) then read up about it on the internet, other textbook, etc.
