Job opportunities at McGill

How much will the lack of a working knowledge of French hurt me in finding some sort of payed work in Montreal/at McGill? I don't believe I qualify for work study programs, so that's out.

 

Edit: I imagine there are a lot of things outside the McGill bubble that I won't be qualified for, so I guess I'm looking more for specific suggestions on what's out there aside from typical research and hospital volunteering.

I have the exact concern as you. It seems like in-school opportunities (research and internships) won't be affected much if you don't speak French, but it will definitely be harder to find job or volunteering opportunities outside school. I was browsing the web for volunteer groups (not medically related, just general volunteering) in Montreal and most of the websites are only available in French version, which definitely says something about the importance of knowing French there.
