bored
Im almost certain its been asked before.... but just to renew the asking.. is the mcat doable if one is working full time 5 days a week from 7-5?
thatonekid
Yes. You just need to have dedication and good time management skills. That being said, I worked full time in the summer while studying for the MCAT, but I was able to take 2 weeks off of work before my test date and I thought that was really helpful. thehumanmacbook
Bring audio osmosis with you if you can listen while on the job.
Genemo
I guess it depends on your situation. If you just need a score and it doesnt have to be super high, then its fine with a full time job assuming you r ok with all your pre-req courses. But I wouldn't recommend it if you are aiming to those schools that requires super high MCAT scores like 35+ and 10+ for each section.
jp.mylittlepwny
A friend scored a 37R(11+ all sections) working 9-5 in the summer. Depends on the individual.
PastaInhaler
It is very doable. And by doable, I mean that you can pull off a great score. However, I do recommend that you find a way to take two weeks off in the days leading upto the test date. That is the critical factor in pulling a great score, and a noncompetitive score. If you do this, please speak to your supervisor well in advance, giving him/her plenty of warning. I wish you the best.
bored
Thanks for those success stories. I needed them. I actually don't have any work experience, so this is a big chance for me. I'm going to be doing both work and the Mcat! Hopefully it will be alright, Im fine with the Sciences..
