jlybn11
Hiya, Does anyone know whether when applying for CMPA coverage in ON residents should just sign up for the automatic withdrawal option? I understand that ~80% of the fees are reimbursed/or co-paid....however it wasn't clear to me which! ( e.g. Do we pay 100% upfront and then get reimbursed, or not?) Any pro-tips? flying kumquat
I had monthly pre-authorized debits from my bank accounts to pay my CMPA dues. There's a separate MOH form you have to fill out for reimbursement. I think it gives you options for quarterly or annual 80% reimbursement. In summary: pay now, get 80% back later. BlackJack
The default reimbursement isn't quarterly. You have to find the right form, fill that out and send it to them. I would recommend quarterly since it's money in your pocket sooner.

NLengr
Wait ONT. MOH reimburses for CMPA dues?
cheech10
Yes, 80% of them. It was added to the OMA negotiations a few years ago, when CMPA premiums started to get higher in Ontario than the rest of the country. They still are higher, but not exorbitant, and with the reimbursement Ontario docs end up paying less than in other provinces.
