Online universities

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, aside from Athabasca, waterloo, ryerson and york, does anyone any accredited online university that would allow me to get credits asap?

I was going crazy searching the web, and found something called corllins university (http://www.corllinsuniversity.com/). I called them but it seems a little sketchy... has anyone else taken courses from here?

Thanks

Corlins University is NOT accredited by an accrediting agency that will be recognized by Canadian medical schools. I'd stay away from there.

Thompson Rivers University is an accredited online Canadian university, which some ppl on pm101 have taken courses with, but I know nothing about. Search the name on pm101 and some hits should pop up

Also, most universities offer at least a few online courses - are there specific courses which you are looking for?

Canadian Virtual University lists a bunch of courses and programs offered online by various Canadian universities:

Guelph also offers online courses and certificates through Open Guelph. Acadia offers courses through Open Acadia.

SFU also offers certificate programs and degree credits through online learning.

I've taken distance courses through Guelph (nutrition), Waterloo (physiology) and Athabasca (nutrition and German), and enjoyed all of them.
