maadaputtar
Hey, My UofT transcript shows my mark, its equivalent grade, and weight of the course (0.5 or 1.0 for half year and one year courses, respectively). On the AMCAS application, should I be entering 0.5 (or 1.0) for the Credit Hours field, or should I leave it blank? I think 0.5 is 3 credit hours, but I don't think I should enter 3 as the help section asks you not to convert anything yourself. Thanks
charmer08
Just put whats on your transcript. Thats what the AMCAS says, I think.
fluztom18
For AMCAS, you can just put down 0.5 for half-credit courses and 1.0 for full-credit courses. I did this and had no problem in the verification process. If you're applying to osteopathic medical schools via AACOMAS, they expect you to enter your courses in as 3 and 6 hours for half- and full-year courses, respectively. They don't make the distinction between courses with and without lab in terms of credit hours. Just make sure to indicate that certain courses had an additional lab component on the AACOMAS application. hope that helps. good luck!
deathvvv
generally UofT half course with no lab, 3 hours, with lab is 4 hours U of T full year course no lab, 6 hours, with lab, 8 hours tutorials do not count
