T.O.Student.
So I realize that reference letters should get in by October 3rd. I'm in a bit of dilemma as one of my reference letters is from overseas and while it was sent out early, my supervisor emailed me concerned as there are strikes going on for postal services where my letter gets relayed until it arrives in Canada. She is worried that it won't get to OMSAS by October 3rd. Queens, Ottawa and U of T state that if a letter does not get in till Dec 1st, than the application will be canceled so I'm alright there. But what about McMaster? If a reference letter doesn't get into OMSAS by October 3rd is an application automatically incomplete and cancelled by McMaster admissions? thatonekid
No. You'll be fine if you get it into OMSAS after Oct 3rd. All my letters got in after the due date last year and it was fine.
newcanmeds2011
There generally is a small grace period but I recommend getting them in by mid Oct at the latest.
SolitaireAddikt
Last year they recommended that letters be in by Oct 1st, but the actual hard deadline was Dec 1st.
