jawn_doe
Hey everyone, Just wondering if most US schools use a percentage/letter grade marking scheme and are most classes ranked. I guess this might be the norm to figure out residencies. I just thought they'd be more like Canadian schools that use a pass/fail unranked system. Any schools use the latter, or are they all highly competitive?
moo
My school (Northwestern) used a P/F system first two years and H/P/F last two years (now it's H/HP/P/F). There is class ranking but they rank you by quarter. Our MSPE had very vague terms... so they would start by saying "John Smith was an (outstanding, excellent, very good, good) student." Not sure if other schools understood our coding system though.
