New...with questions..please help!

Hi.

 

I know some of these questions are pretty silly...I'm young...and inexperienced so please follow me through on this!

 

In the fall I will be entering my first year at the University of Western Ontario, which will be a general year...blah blah.

 

Up until this point I have felt as though I have wanted to go to Law school...but recently began to feel as though I would do very well in the medical area.

 

I have not taken any maths or sciences beyond grade 10...no particular reason..just because I suppose.

 

My question is do I need to have maths and sciences in my background to become a med. student? Or would I be able to pick up maths and sciences in University and still be able to go to med. school?

 

Any information you can give me would help.

<pagetext>i have a bit of a problem here. basically i dont really have any profs that ive known well for more than 1 year (science profs at least) that i could maybe ask to write the letters. i just wanted to get a general impression from you guys as to how nice professors usually are to the random person that was in their class of 500, got good marks, but didnt make much of an impression on them asking them to write one. i know i know i should have talked to my profs...i was dumb. im now graduated by the way so theres no hope for next year...besides dont the referees have to have known you for a while and know you really well?
