EngrGuy
Hey guys, Just curious about the CaRMS Couples Matching. I've read up with http://www.carms.ca/eng/r1_ranking_couples_e.shtml but I was wondering if anybody has any positive / negative experience with it. What are the chances of not getting matched together? If you say you're married (let's say you have kids even) and CaRMS matches you differently; you're still legally obligated to leave your wife / kids if it's in a different place? Thanks J
Knightmd
It's not really helpful information, but I know a couple who couple-matched into Ophthalmology in the same program, not sure where but it was in Ontario. Talk about impossible.
japlanet
You would never be 'legally obligated' to leave your family unless you ranked a combination of matches that would cause that - so if you are not willing to be separated, you simply do not rank combinations where that would be the case, with the increased risk of one or both partners failing to match.
