MCATwannabe
SHould YOu mention that you have Dentist parents or have dentists in you family? Is it a wise answer to say you were inspired by dentists in your family for a question like: "How did you come about choosing dentistry, or that how did you get acquainted with the profession?" zap_man99
you might not get the chance to say that. a lot of places dont ask you standard questions like that. theyre all standardized (CDA format)
cleanup
If they ask you, they ask you. If you can work it into an answer, great, but don't force it. Make sure it's relevant. Some schools, at the end of an interview, will ask you one or two traditional, standard questions (like "Why dentistry"). You can answer them however you like; it's unclear as to how or if they play into admissions decisions. And for the record, for a question like that, the wisest answer is the honest one. So we can't tell you anything new.
