Demetrios
Let's say I apply for an NSERC during 2nd year, do they consider my 2nd year marks or my first year marks or my cumulative GPA? And what else is factored into the selection criteria, is it only based on GPA, or do they look for prior research experience as well? And how many people from York even apply to NSERC? It shouldn't be too competitive right? York is VERY competitive; much more than UofT in fact. Check this out (go to the third page): http://www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca/_doc/NSERC-CRSNG/FactSheets/ON_Factsheet_EN.pdf UofT got nearly 8 times more funding than York, but the number of applications for both schools are quite similar.
