Patrick1234
I know this book comes highly recommened by SN2 so it took me a bit of time to track down and quite expensive to buy as well but does anyone find that the passages are really abstract? and not similiar to the aamc / mcat like at all? Let'sGo1990
The philosophy passages are a nightmare.
RAPTORS99
I haven't done any AAMC material yet, but there is definite contrast between EK 101 and TPRH. I find the latter contains question the focus on specific details (some of which you cannot answer without going back). EK is more main idea. I personally find EK to be easier. I would also like to know which is closer to AAMC.
JB.
I've never looked at TPR verbal, but the overwhelming majority of threads I have read here and on SDN, recommend sticking to EK for verbal strategy, and the AAMC exams, of course.
Teemo
Are you guys talking about the TPR Verbal Workbook?
repede
I bought the book and stopped using it after a little while. If I could sell it for $10 I'd sell it to someone that wants it. The writing section tips were helpful, but the Verbal stuff was really bleh for me. I think all prep companies make and choose passages that best promote their "exclusive strategies". In the end I used EK's stuff and I got 11 VR, so I'm pretty happy with it.
