How to improve on verbal

Hi,

I've been doing about 3~5 verbal passages a day for 3 weeks now and it shows a general upward trend (when I started, I got 5,6 questions wrong per passage to now where I get ~2 questions wrong) but it seems I cannot for some reason get past getting 2 Qs/psg wrong.

So today I thought I won't time myself and take as long as I want on a passage to try to get everything right for once. I made annotations and went back to passage to make sure I am answering everything correctly. But the results were actually worse: I got 4 wrong :S (how can this be?!)

So does this mean it's better to just go by the feeling when answering questions without actively referring back to the passage? I was really hoping that I can begin to get a couple of passages perfect but am getting frustrated that I keep getting at least 2 questions wrong.

Thank you so much in advance.
