endoplasmic
Which prep best mirror the actual MCAT?
skarletstarlet
I am curious as to what "others" is. I have TPR (the huge book that covers everything) and EK 101 VR passages. I just need to do well on the VR, what are these "others?" lol.
Pistachio9
Theres quite a few more prep 'courses' in the states as well. The three mentioned are just the most popular in Canada. I know in Calgary we have something called "Oxford" MCAT review, and the SN2ed schedule uses http://www.berkeley-review.com/ books as well. I'm sure there are more out there. skarletstarlet
Nice, I'm from Ontario... That being said, the courses are way too expensive for me to partake in (I have a family to feed after all!) so I will stick with the books. I hear the LSAT VR stuff is decent too. Maybe I'll pick up a few of them and some AAMC tests.
Mustang92
Hey, I was using my friend's LSAT reading comp book and i don't think it's the best material to use for the MCAT. For one thing, i noticed their MC is out of 5 (a-e) and they're passages are organized differently. Also their timing and advocated prep strategies are different as well, so i'd definitely use it as a last option at best. Also the large TPR book is for science questions only, a separate smaller workbook is available with 40ish verbal passages.
