Guest Air
I've just completed by 3rd of undergrad. Dentistry is for me. I've come to realize this recently. But with a GPA of 3.4, how realistic is this dream of mine? I'd like to stay in Canada, by the way... Break to me folks... I can handle it. Guest toothy
I think in my year, the lowest mark that got into UWO was around 84% and for UofT it was around 3.7gpa. Unlike medicine, a DDS from the states is much more transferrable here. If your low marks were due to one particularly bad year see if you can raise it in the last year. Guest introubletoo
What kind of marks do you need to get in the states?
Guest Gotin
I got into U of T. I have about 80% and did mediocre on DAT. Shows that you don't need 85+
Guest ubcdmd2005
I don't actually know what % a 3.4 GPA translates to but at UBC the average entering grade for class of 2006 was 80.7% and the average DAT scores were 21 Acedemic and 19.7 PAT/Carving (I guess they average these two scores??). The average for my class (2005) was 82.2% with a 21.7 Acedemic and a 20.5 PAT/Carving. You can find all these stats and more at www.dentistry.ubc.ca/acad...eninfo.stm Hope that helps.
