Guest cc
Hey all, Does anyone know how similar (or different) the reading comprehension is on the DAT and the MCAT? Are the questions on the DAT more of "look up in passage" type questions, and less inference? Any help would be great. Thanks
Guest Kicoati
Hi cc, The DAT passages are longer. There are only 3 of them. You are right about there being less inference questions (even not at all) in the DAT reading comp. Ki
Guest danman04
The DAT reading comp is way easier. Verbal reasoning on the mcat stinks. It is more based on assumptions and inferences (whereas dat reading is just detail and overall message type questions), and if med schools are gauging how well one can understand what someone is saying, key aspects missing are body language and voice tone, the words are only like 25% of communication, body language says it all. Plus, AAMC might add a new section on the MCAT called communications. This might fill the void. Dan
