U of A PT MMI

Is anyone else heading to Edmonton this weekend for the PT MMI from out of province? I'm flying in from Ottawa tomorrow morning!

goodluck, I did the MMI in Edmonton last year as out of province. There's is definitely more laid back than the Mcmaster MMI

hahaa I was a nervous wreck in my hostel lol. It wasn't so bad! I thought it was well organized and really fair. How did you find it?

would you mind sharing your GPA for out of province? I suspect that I will have to apply there next year and was wondering if I should take a few more courses to bump it up a bit.

would you know what that is in %? is that a solid "A", above 85?

My orpas gpa was 3.74. I had a lot of A's on the 9 point scale which worked out to my advantage when they were converted to 4.0 on the U of A scale.

I was 3.79 as an out of province.

I didn't find the MMI's to bad either. When re-thinking some of the questions, I realize that I still don't really know how to answer them but overall it wasn't the disaster that I kept imagining!

 

I was told by UofA this year that to be competitive for out of province the cut off is about 3.9. But I'm still confused on how they convert to their scale and I think most people end up with a higher GPA than expected. I too was converted to a 4.0 and was shocked by that.
