Guest Bicuspid
Hey all Just wondering what it takes to get into western after 2 years undergrad? or uoft after 3 years? Also is there a bias against age. I originall went to college and worked in the health care field but am now considering dentistry. So I Started my degree and am in my first year. All my marks are in the 90's with a GPA of 3.98 in a Biology/Chem double major. I'm 30 now and if I get in after two years of undergrad I will be 31~32. Will that be a big problem for the admissions people, do they like em in the early twenties? For the dental schools out there I was wondering if there were students a little older in the class and how they were viewed. Thanks to everyone and I wish you the best for your exams Bicuspid

Guest Milkytooth
3.98 on a scale of 4, right? You will get in somewhere in Canada and it's almost 100% sure. You will for sure find Dentistry interesting. But careful not to neglect the inherent business side of the profession, to which I somehow did pay much attention. But indeed, there is no doubt that dentists have easier life. Oh, at UofM, we paid a lot for the instruments (I am not talking about the tuition fees). 1st year=7500$ 2nd year=6300$ 3rd year=can't remember, nearly 4000$. 4th year=50-150$. So make sure to have some bucks ready aside. The tuition is cheap in Quebec (fortunately), we pay about 3500$ annually. What about you? I am really eager to know the stats of other canadian schools...
