firm acceptances and waitlists

I applied to both OT and PT programs, got a couple acceptances to OT (yay!) and am on a couple waitlists for PT.

 

I just called ORPAS and it seems that I can accept one of my OT offers and even once it becomes a firm acceptance on June 7, I will still remain on the PT program waitlists.

 

Does this sound right to everyone? I'd like to do this, but am a little nervous that maybe I misunderstood and once I firmly accept an OT program I'll be taken off the PT waitlists...

You can accept an OT offer and still remain on the PT wait lists.
