GPA with an F

I was just wondering how OT programs (specifically Alberta, but curious about the rest) calculate your GPA if you have an F? Would it count as a 0 in the calculation or would it not be counted at all since I didn't actually obtain the credit?

 

I know it's bad but all of my other marks range from B+ to A's so would having that F on my transcript significantly inhibit my chances in getting in when I eventually apply next year??

What year was the 0 in? If it appears on your transcript, and would be a part of your last 20 credits, then yes it would be calculated into your subGPA. If it appears after your most recent 20 credits then it would only effect your cumulative GPA which most universities (with the exception of Queen's and McGill I think) don't look at.

sadly, if its part of your most recent 20 credits then it will be included into the calculation

It counts as a zero All you can do is take more undergrad classes until its no longer in your last 60 credits. So depending on when you got the F, it might be worth it to take a couple more classes and cancel it out.
