shady
I just got a message from OSAP that my application for funding was approved. Their outline for the schedule of payment shows that I will get the first instalment September 1st and the rest in January. Problem is all of tuition is due Sept 1st. It seems silly to have to borrow for this... Anyway to defer tuition payment for a few days until OSAP comes in without having to pay interest? (Problem with the flex plans and the two instalment plan is they all have additional admin fees that are just not worth it)
shady
Yea the math is correct. Still silly that this is the case. What if my LOC was a little late? Then I would be screwed. UofT had an option to defer tuition for free until OSAP came through
osteogeek
I wish Mac had that option... oh well. I'm planning to just pay it and then put my OSAP loan on my LOC when it comes in. I'll pay interest that way since OSAP comes in 2 instalments (though I'm happy they're paying us in 2 and not 3 instalments like in grad school!), but 3% on the LOC is better than the 14.4% or whatever that Mac charges. Annoying.
