justrun13
Does anyone know what the GPA cutoff is for Hong Kong University's MBBS program? I can't find it anywhere on the website. I know CUHK's cutoff for graduate students (completed 4 yrs undergrad) is 3.8. Is that the same for HKU? Or if anyone received interview invites/ accepted to the program, do you mind posting your GPA? Thank you so so much!!
ditde
Wow, CUHK's is only 3.80? That's great news for me, I thought it'd be around ~3.9! I know for a fact that HKU does not have a specific GPA cut-off. I'd assume (based off of nothing at all) that you would want a minimum of 3.80 as well. farmin
I don't understand. If medical school in Hong Kong requires 3.8-3.9... why wouldn't you just apply to Canada? Do doctors make more money in Hong Kong or something?
Edict
I don't understand. If medical school in Hong Kong requires 3.8-3.9... why wouldn't you just apply to Canada? Do doctors make more money in Hong Kong or something? I think its because they don't care as much about MCAT or something either way. A number of Canadians particularly Chinese-Canadians who can speak fluent cantonese would rather spend their lives in a city with other chinese people so going to HKU makes sense. Anyways HKU is ranked i believe top 30 in the world so its by no means a bad school (probably better than most Canadian medical schools).
