soporific
What province(s) are you a resident of? What year applicant are you? What are your ECs like? What is your MCAT breakdown, particularly the verbal score? That will help us to advise you.
soporific
You have a really good shot, with your high VR, GPA, and 4th year status. In terms of the cost to interview, you could always apply, see how many interviews you get, and if you get too many (>5) then turn some down? Of course you still lose some application money/time but I would suggest that. Admissions can be unpredictable and you don't want to be left with no acceptance. There are certainly some schools you could cross off your list though. For example, the Maritimes schools (Dalhousie, Memorial) accept very few OOP applicants. Unless you want to live there, maybe don't apply to those. Also leave out NOSM, unless you're a rural applicant.
future_doc
The issue is we never know where lightning will strike, so applying broadly is a sound strategy. And, of course, there are no guarantees in this lottery. I tend to agree with the last poster, I.e., make a final selection of where to interview after you know where you can be interviewed. Good luck!
Turk
I would say to apply to as many schools as you can afford, and then choose the interviews you can afford to go to.
