McGill QY Interview Dates

I just noticed that the MMI dates for McGill's OT qualifying year is May 16, the same day that we find out if we were accepted to Ontario schools... was this done in order to weed out those people who will be accepting offers from those schools? I find this a little strange, and such a late date.
