PAstudent
When you introduce yourself as a PA how often do people mistake you for a medical assistant? The times I am mistaken for being a medical assistant have mostly been in social situations where people ask me "what do you do?" and I have to explain. I was at a party last week where I had to explain P.A. at least ten times and by the end of the evening I would ask people I already explained it to to explain it to the new people asking. It was tiring to say the least. Not what I wanted to do at the party. Mostly conversations go like this:
maritimer
I have yet to be confused with a medical assistant. I am always confused and mislabeled as a doctor-and no matter how many times I tell them I still get called doctor by them haha. When I ask if they know what a PA is, some do. Those that don't are more just like "hmmm know I'm not to sure"
