Volunteer LOR for UBC

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am applying from US. Even though I have 100 hours Geriatric and 50 hours Pediatric experience , I did not get any LOR from them. I have LOR from my professor at Grad School and a professional colleague.

Is that sufficient?

Also even though non of the schools require letter from a OTR, should I get it anyways to be more competitive?

Thank you

Hi

I can only speak for the UBC OT program. There is a form that your volunteer hours reference must fill in. There is no substitution. When I applied the only way to prove the hours was to have someone complete the form confirming the hours you completed. If you happen to work in a field with people with disabilities then you can use your employer as a reference
