al3x
I'm having trouble finding a place at which to volunteer around Downtown Toronto. I looked up about 15 places on Google Maps within the Core and went to every single one, dropping off a resume. All of them were small, private clinics that were 1-to-1 patient:physiotherapist type. None of them hired volunteers or kinesiologists. I tried Toronto Rehab and Bridgepoint. After talking over the phone with one of the ladies in the volunteer department, she informed me that Rehab volunteer positions at the hospital are "high in demand" and IF a spot opens up, it's given to individuals already volunteering there for other duties. Can anyone give me any pointers? I mean, it's free labour we're talking about here and I'm STILL having trouble... Thanks
erebakish
Try Humber River and other hospitals. Apply to Toronto rehab anyways, even if it takes a few months you may get a call/email. Otherwise just keep visiting clinics and dropping off resumes...places i know that take students are Athlete's Care and The Sports Medicine Specialists
