Weighted Gpa

Recommended Posts

Wishful Doctor, technically speaking DO schools do have a "weighted GPA". They replace grades if you re-take a class. So if you took orgo and you got a C, and then you took it again and got an A, they would only count the A, not the C. This goes for all classes that have been re-taken, but you must prove that it is the same class.

Ah, interesting. So does the course have to be labelled ''biology'' or does something like an anatomy or physiology course count towards a ''biology''? And would something like organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry be including under chemistry then?

Google amcas course classification.

Yes, anat and physiology count. As well as ochem and med chem under chem.
