ilove
OMSAS GPA only 3.17 (although strong upward trend, and last year is 3.98) VR 13 BC resident. Should I even bother?

I have 7 classmates with a GPA between 3.00-3.49 Your VR is on the higher percentile, but you're OOP. It's a tough call. You'll never know unless you apply. If I were you, I'd give it a shot. km2kenne
Your GPA is quite low, but it's not hopeless! My OMSAS GPA is 3.27 and my VR is 14 and I got an interview last year. I ended up on the waitlist, but didn't get in.
MD2B2019
Wow, cGPA 3.27 waitlisted at McMaster last cycle, your VR 14 is untouchable for me, but you really give hopes to this group cGPA 3.6 +- 0.1 and VR 12 +- 1.
