Which Pattern Of Red Scarves Do You Think Looks Better With A Navy Peacoat And Why?

Hmm, between the two I prefer the striped scarf. I think it's more fun than the solid red and I think that patterned accessories (against solid staples) project confidence and an element of personal style.

With that in mind though, I think that the colour in the scarves is on the cusp of becoming the wrong red to pair with navy. It's more what I would describe as 'creeping toward violet on the colour wheel and away-from orange' red.

For a true navy, I think a more primary red pairs best. I'm not talking BRIGHT RED (although the colour does go with navy but oozes a nautical theme), but a red that is a little closer to cherry (at any shade).

I suppose this also depends on the shade of your navy.

Notwithstanding the unreasonable prices, here are some scarves with colour schemes/patterns I think would pair well with a men's navy pea coat:

For a super dark navy, one that has deep grey/black undertones, I think that your original colours would work. I like this scarf because it's two-toned and reversible:

From your options, I'm still siding with the stripes! Hope this helps!  :)

Sources: Just my opinion. I really really like art, style, colour, and design (in both theory and practice). I studied it in college before going to university.

Edit: Little caveat: I'm a female if that's worth any consideration.

Wow...you gave me the best feedback on any clothing item I have ever received. Truly insightful!

Just FYI, I'm a guy, so perhaps that might affect your opinion about the different color options. I agree that something in the vicinity of cherry would probably be perfect, but I think that might look a bit 'girly'. From the pictures (that I posted) it looks like the red is actuall dark red, close to maroon, so I figured that would be the best I could get out of it. Another option I was thinking was olive, but they don't have olive available.

I do, however, love the 2nd and 3rd links you posted. I think they would pair well too, but it`s too bad that these outrageous prices make it impossible for me to even consider them.

Thanks again for your insight...haha!

I`d love to message you from now on for my clothing preferences if you don`t mind.
