Spectrum Of Rad Onc

Hi Friends! 

 

I've read the sticky on Rad Onc and I was wondering if someone could tell me a bit more about the different aspects about what one does as a radiation oncologist? I know that outpatient clinics will make up the bulk of your practise but what are others avenues that radiation oncologist are involved with? Is there much in-patient care, outside of brachytherapy are there many procedures performed by radiation oncologist, are there many emerge consults (spinal cord compression syndrome being the only one I can think of)?
