In one case, doing both (hospital procedures and private sector "clinic" work); in another case, purely private sector.. There may be other services Opthalmologists can provide not covered by OHIP. Additionally, cosmetic procedures (augmentation surgeries, botox injections, hair transplants) are privately run practices and/or alternatively many physicians go into medico-legal work.
