kay22
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could give me some input on whether I should rewrite my MCAT. I only scored a 22 last year and I didn't get into MUN this application cycle. Does anyone have any inside info on how important this aspect of the application is? I don't want to risk doing even worse on this years new, harder exam, but I also want to do everything I can to increase my chances next cycle. Fleming
Memorial doesn't specifically state the exact weight of the MCAT, but it is certainly taken into consideration. To be honest, 22 is quite a low score that will likely hinder your prospects of being accepted anywhere (I'm in no way saying it's impossible, but it will be an uphill battle). If I was in your shoes, I'd study hard and rewrite the MCAT. Your current score also eliminates you from many schools in other provinces, so with an improvement you could also cast a wider net of applications, which obviously increases your chances greatly.
