NervesNormalBreathNormal
I'm in 4th year, starting a radiology residency in July. LMCC is in 8 days. A number of my classmates are signed up to write the USMLE Step 2 CK exam within the next few weeks as well (a lot of them are doing Ortho and were advised to do it by R4s and R5s on CaRMS tour). I can still sign up for it within the next week or so and write it towards the end of May. Can any rads residents (or fellows/staff!) comment on how useful it might be (and am I better to do it now)? I haven't done Step 1, and have no idea about fellowships (still just riding the high from match day to be honest). Many thanks!
radiologist1984
If you plan on possibly practicing in the US in the future then I would advise taking it. The sooner the better. It cannot hurt. Just be aware that you will eventually have to take Step 3 and the ABR core and certifying exams to practice in the US.
