I spent some time creating a resource site for premeds. www.informedpremed.com/

The database of books is really comprehensive that no simple generalization can portray. But, I can tell you that if you read all 133 books, currently on the site, you'll be light years ahead of most applicants during interviews. Anyway, check it out. It's a non-profit site. no ads or anything like that.
