High school grades are only important as far as they get you into university. In applying to med school they are not considered... however your university grades are VERY important.

For interest, I graduated high school with a 97% average. I graduate from university with a 90% average over all four years. Med schools all calculate your GPA (grade-point average) slightly differently, and I can't remember what mine was for McMaster but I think it was 3.9 (out of 4.0).
