One Semester Of Organic Chemistry?

Do you guys think that one semester of O chem is enough for the MCAT?

I would say, at least for the old MCAT, that 1 semester is fine because its all the basic concepts which are important fundamentals. You will have to learn reactions that you haven't seen, but you will be able to understand it better.

 

I do not however think it is enough if you plan on not studying O-Chem at all during your study period

I did the new MCAT with only one semester of orgo.  Absolutely not an issue at all for me.

I only had one semester of orgo and used the Kaplan book to fill in any gaps. That said, I had a fairly orgo-lite exam though so YMMV.

I've never taken Orgo. Did the new MCAT with just the orgo from EK books and a bit from Khan academy- it was more than enough for the new MCAT. 

If I had to recommend University course for the new MCAT, I would say 1 year of Chem, Physics, and Biochem would suffice.
