I was planning to take a year to focus on my French and then re-apply for 2017, but somewhat unexpectedly got accepted for this year. I'm obviously very grateful and excited, but would still like to work on my French first if possible. If anyone's aware of Ottawa's protocol or has heard anything about it, please let me know. You should try calling the School of Rehabilitation Sciences, since they will be able to answer your question! Tel: 613-562-5800 ext. 5436 From what I've heard though, a lot of students in the program aren't 100% fluent in French. Not to mention the fact that Uottawa wouldn't have accepted you if they didn't think your French was up to their standards.
