I will be starting OT at Mac in the fall, and I am trying to decide whether to move to Hamilton, or commute to Mac from the Kitchener-Waterloo area! whistler27 Posted June 5, 2016 Report Share Posted June 5, 2016 I don't have experience commuting, but I did my undergrad at mac and it's not too expensive to rent a room in a house near campus. I think living closer to school would allow you to stay on campus late studying or attending social events without having to crash on a friends couch or worry about driving home late. I have several friends who do commute and I know it is pretty frustrating for them. My advice would be to rent a place in Hamilton (a room can range on average from $400-$500/month, which isn't bad).
