PurpleS Posted September 12, 2016 Report Share Posted September 12, 2016 On the UofT IM program description, it states we can submit an additional reference letter to highlight research, education, or leadership outside of clinical practice. I've read that research/extracurriculars/etc. actually play a very very small role in determining who gets an interview so I'm wondering if anyone has any insight on how the adcom views this letter, what kind of things they're looking for in this letter, and if it's actually beneficial in the pre-interview stage.
