2017 Pt/ot Applicant

Recommended Posts

Hi I was wondering what my chances of admission are for PT or OT at any Canadian school. I have a decent sub GPA but my cumulative is very low. Also what are the chances of practicing here in Canada if I decide to study abroad? Thanks for any help.

SUB-GPA: 3.7

Cumulative-GPA: 3.2

Thanks for your reply. What do you think about going abroad for PT or OT?

PT and OT are fairy different fields first of all. I know PT is slightly easier abroad like in Australia depending on the school, but it is very expensive (around 50k a year for like University of Sydney). You can check OzTREKK if you are interested in Australia, I heard they have good programs.

For PT your gpa is kinda low, would be competitive around the high 3.7's

You can also go to Ireland for PT, I know University College Dublin accepts Canadians. If I recall correctly, a PT degree in Ireland takes 2 years whereas in Australia it's 3 years

University of Sydney and University of Queensland in Australia are 2 year Masters degree. Not all the schools in Australia are 3 years.

Yeah, I heard University College Dublin accepts Canadians but class sizes are really small which makes it more competitive.
