Ab Ahmad
Hello everybody, Did anyone of you get med interviews with an average GPA of 3.4 with competitive CVPN and a professionnal program? Just wondering if I have any chance this year... Thanks!
Mohammed
Have you applied under NTP stream?
FutureDMD-QC
I'd be surprised. 3.4 is very low when the average for interviewed candidates is 3.8. (For IP at least)

caribou
what'S the NTP system? https://www.mcgill.ca/medadmissions/applying/categories/roq/ntp It's for students who typically have a less competitive GPA but more competitive CVPN. 3.4 is still low even for the NTP stream, but you might have a better shot than through the regular IP stream. Ab Ahmad
Non-Traditional Pathway applicants with a degree grade point average (DegGPA) of 3.2 or greater (on 4.0) are considered to be within the competitive range. DegGPAs below 3.0 are considered only exceptionally. Can I apply to both category? Honestly i don't know how competitive is my CVPN, and they usualy interview only 15-20 candidates, not sure what category should i apply... Ab Ahmad
Anw, it's too late for this year to reapply as NTP, i'll see how things will go this year, and if didn't get an interview, then maybe next year, i'll try that path. Thanks a lot for letting me know about this path, i didn't know it...

Best of luck with your application - just a word of advice if you do end up applying as NTP next year, make sure to take this year to work on your CVPN. They put a lot of emphasis on personal experiences as a tradeoff for less emphasis on academics.
