I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are any inexpensive hotels/motels near campus.

there are some hotels quite near the bannatyne campus...but i wouldn't really recommend them...unless you are looking for a very *cough* entertaining *cough* stay. The nicer hotels are about a 10-15 minutes away by car (depending on your price range) you may want to check www.mywinnipeg.com under the yellow pages. Keep in mind that the flip side of being a downtown campus means uber-expensive hotels as well as the ones that charge by the hour. you can try www.questinn.com/ as well as holiday Inn winnipeg downtown (call 1-800-holiday) which is about 5 -ish minutes by car or 15 walking. there are many others available so look around for a better deal if you have time.

 

and there is also billeting available with some rather awesome Med1 students but PLEASE get in touch with them early because I know of people who have had to be turned down because all our billeters are full for the weekend.
