I'm learning about the Sambia of Papúa New Guinea

 

At the age of ten the men are secluded from females and received forced insemination so that their semen producing organ becomes activated. About the same time they endure forced bleeds, where sugar cane is shoved in their noses so that they bleed out female fluids to allow them to be men.
