Years ago I remember reading that it was a good idea for interviewees at UofA (med school) to be familiar with current events, and ethical situations surrounding those events, in terms of how it pertains to the healthcare field. I could be remembering it incorrectly, but my takeaway was that the importance of this was emphasized more so at UofA than at other schools. If members are (ethically) able to answer, is this the case for PT interviews? Also, is there PT specific knowledge that may be important to familiarize ourselves with?

Thanks :)

Yes - I have done MMI interviews with U of A for 2 years already (waitlisted both times for the PT program). It's good to be familiar with current events such as politics (Trump) and what's going on in medicine (such as the legalization of marijuana). U of A's PT interview tends to have 1 - 2 questions related to this as well as the typical interview questions (why do you want to do PT).
