textbook88
I kept the technology essay pretty focused on literature out there since I knew nothing about it from my own personal experience. Does anyone know how these are graded if a reader comes across this? Instant 0?
ihsh
I also mostly used the literature for the technology essay. I haven't heard back from U of T yet, so can't provide any anecdotal evidence
textbook88
I think we messed up big-time, which really sucks because they don't give instructions but tell you to interpret it for yourself. I just hope it's not an instant red flag. Edit: the questions were also worded different this time. In all previous years the questions asked blah blah blah what do this mean to YOU? But this is the first year they didn't do this.
Yuritime
Fwiw, I included personal examples in all of my essays, but I agree it was pretty challenging for that essay in particular.
catchlynall
I focused much more on what this meant to me, and used examples from my experiences to illustrate why I thought/felt/believed that way.
BlackGoat
Are you referring to the technology facilitating communication? I wrote extensively on telemedicine. I thought my essays were really good, but the rest of my application was pretty bleh, so no optimism here.
